Fasting preparation
To limit some of the side effects which naturally occur when fasting, especially headaches, it is best to try and cut out, or at least cut down your intake of certain foods and drinks for about two weeks before you start: coffee, alcohol, tobacco products, sugary drinks, meat and dairy.
Eliminating these food items will also help you when readjusting to food at the end of the programme when you could feel a change in your attitude to food and the amount you need to eat. Source your food locally – if you don’t have a garden grow some herbs and salad leaves in pots on your window-sill – so satisfying! Take control of the food you put into your body and feel the benefit!
